260 days: Understanding the Plight of Israeli Hostages in Gaza

-Naama Levy turns 20 years years old, and Inbar Haiman would be 27, both under Hamas captivity

260 days have passed since October 7th. There are 120 Israeli hostages in Gaza by Hamas. Under Hamas captivity, Kfir Bibas, the youngest hostage, experienced his first birthday on January 18th. There was a disturbing footage circulating on Bibas brothers a few days ago. Out of 365 days, Israeli hostage, alive or deceased, have been kidnapped in 1/3 days in Gaza now. Those who are alive have been under torturous condition including sexual abuses of female hostages based on the testimonies of the former hostages.

June 22nd is Naama Levy‘s birthday. It would have been wonderful if she could spend her special day with her family. However, it is very hard for us to forget how she was taken captive by Hamas on October 7th and where she is now. Naama is a woman of adorable smile. She is now fighting for her life in Gaza under Hamas captivity. It must be very difficult for Naama’s mother to objectively talk about her daughter or herself but Dr. Ayalet Levy(Naama’s mother) is taking interviews.

Not for forget it, how she was taken away will never be forgotten.

Naama Levy kidnapped by Hamas on October 7th after allegedly being raped

How do you feel if you’re parents and the last time you see your daughter is this? And, if people start to talk about this? One of many footages of how Hamas took innocent Israelis as hostages are not condemned enough. Now, UN is trying to defend its subordinate organization to defend themselves.

Hamas does that brutal massacre game on people, again?

The family and relatives of Naama Levy has been going through the hardest time. I hope Israeli government does not leave out rescue operation as they did for Noa Argamani and other three hostages as an option. Israeli citizens care about their own citizens. Plus, they’re are allowing humanitarian assistance for the residents of Gaza daily, which are also being stolen by Hamas a number of times, by the way.

Above all, how would you feel if this lasted 280 days 24/7? Aside from this reality, Jewish people have been assaulted, raped, synagogues set on fire, and there have been Antisemitism movement around the world. Do people blame this on what they call “evil Zionism?” It is totally unacceptable that pro-Hamas supporters, those who consider Hamas as resistance, to call Zionism evil or to demonize Zionism without knowledge at all. They are making a lot of excuses and they are not facing the truths of the history.

In short words, as Douglas Murray discussed with Mehdi Hassan recently and he explained Zionism and also Jewish history in a very brief term unlike Qatar-funded counterpart Hassan and also majority of Hamas protestors who search on TikTok or Google to understand Zionism. These pro-Hamas supporters are intentionally spreading misconception about Zionism. Also, who hated Zionism? Soviet Union and those who were affected by the federation including Iran.

It is not about ceasefire that Iran’s supreme leader has been discussing. It is about repeating and erasing the Jewish state called Israel from this planet. Does anyone think Ayatollah Khamenei, who does not mind executing 6,000 civilians a year, think he does honestly care about the lives of the people as he posts on X? By the way, his posts are meaningless as it’s a bunch of trash. However, there are people who takes Iran’s words and worked on behalf of them to spread Iran’s propaganda. Many Al Jazeera journalists were found to have been the commanders/fighters of Hamas.

These children lost their lives because of Hamas. First, the pro-Hamas supporters’ response was to call out “Israel’s baby being dicapitated, burned alive” as lies. Pro-Hamas supporters believed that this was the result of the “oppression” by Zionists, which means more than 90% of Israelis, including non Jews living in Israel. Those pro-Hamas protestors keep dehumanizing Israeli people and the hostages, who are the actual victims of October 7th.

Putting aside what I would like to write, I would like to send words of birthday celebration for Naama Levy and pray for her return to her family.
