Is Iran Truly out of Funds?
The current regime of Iran does not seem to have strong integrated power inside Iran, after witnessing the Iran Revolution, advocating for Masha Amini who was brutally murdered by the morality police on September 16th, 2022. Hundreds of protestors were killed and detained. Is the world truly aware of what Iranian people are going through? I am not saying that I am fully aware. The two female journalists, Niloufar Hamedi and Elaheh Mohammadi were both arrested back in 2022 and was offered a bail in January this year.
It seems to me that Islamic Republic of Iran is threatening with its voice to destroy the world with their force. However, in reality, I do not believe that they have full capacity to destroy the world order even through diplomatic approach.
On October 7th, though, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, PFLP and other radical Islamic groups that are led by Islamic Republic of Iran, committed a brutal attack against innocent Israeli civilians. Despite the horrible and brutal massacre on October 7th, 2023, Biden administration unfroze 6 billion dollar assets for Islamic Republic of Iran. I saw comments of outrage on social media who are Iranians in exile over this Biden administration policy.
So, how integrated is Islamic Republic of Iran?
Just the other day, I got a text from Gershon Kogen PhD, as I introduced him in the other blog about Qatar, gave me a very interesting text. “A news available in Persian language, Entekhab, reported that the former head of the Iranian Security Council, Admiral Ali Shamkhani’s newphew, Moudou Shamkhani was arrested.”
Moudou Shamkhani was charged with the theft of the government funds in the amount of 3 billion dollars at the currency exchange rate; at the rate of 2015. Currently, this amounts to 30 billion dollars. With the theft of significant amount of government funds, Moudou Shamkhani may face death penalty by hanging.
Do you know what reminds me of this? The very neighbor, North Korea? I heard a part of Putin’s speech on Victory Day on May 9th. North Korea is not a country that is able to develop nuclear technology by herself. They send students to Moscow and North Korean nuclear scientists learn nuclear technologies there.
Anyways, despite the difference, there is one similarity between Iran and North Korea. Iran, most probably, is not the country that developed nuclear technology and neither is North Korea. As North Korea does, Iran seems to have imported many technologies from cyber tech to nuclear technologies from Russia. All three countries, North Korea, Russia, and Islamic Republic of Iran have had strong influence of communism under Soviet Union.
Kogen PhD. wrote a very interesting information after the information of the arrest. It was about the head of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev. The current had of the Russian Security Council the former head of the Iranian Security Council, Admiral Ali Shamkhani.
Mojtaba lobbies Saudi-Iranian reconciliation mediated by China, which owns a tanker fleet that operates in the Middle East. China is currently one of the highest contenders in Iran especially after 2022.
Ali Khamenei’s son, Mojtaba Khamenei had to arrest Ali Shamkhani in the internal power struggle. This was one typical way in the dictatorship like North Korea to defeat the rival, which is to eliminate the rival. This means that there was a power struggle between Khamenei’s son and the former Iranian Security Council, Ali Shamkhani.
This falling out of favor by Khamenei family toward the Former Security Council Shamkhani seems to have started in 2022 and it became unavoidable. However, when you see dictatorship, there is always ugly power struggles. In case of the Japanese, the closest example is North Korea.
Many Japanese media are totally mistaken on the capabilities of Israel and also the realistic abilities of Iran and IRGC. Iran, Russia, and China tries to draw attention to Gaza. And, who is on the lane to get on the same boat with these three countries? Appeasing Iran and IRGC, ultimately, Hezbollah, and the terrorists in Gaza, is not deterrence but will result in future disaster of the world order.
